Not our first time at The Social Grill but it always is a... awesome experience. The food is great with interesting combos and good wine. Love the interior feel, and heaters in the winter. It does tend to get a bit loud but I suppose that is just because everyone is having a good time.read more

Meal great, service good, venue seems awesome, will have to... visit during the day next time to get to see the place properly. Lots of old cars and stuff around. Manager a bit odd, at 21h30 or maybe 22h00 closed the bar to take stock, we were a table of 16 people, your loss bud!!!!read more

Hidden away, with streams running through it, it feels... tranquil and relaxed. Great food with a nice variety from platters to pizza. Lots of parking and a large outdoor area which is good for parties or just getting out and about.read more

We had my sisters baby shower there on Saturday. Everyone... was so accommodating. Tebogo & Rita were excellent. The food was amazing - I had the chicken salad - beyond delicious. Thank you for everything. Highly recommend the Social grill.read more

Went yesterday for the first time. A very spacious venue... which can cater to many visitors. Food was incredibly good. Drinks are a tad pricey but it ties into the look and feel of the entire venue. Great food, drinks and overall really nice vibe. Great location to host a birthday party or anything like that. Live music in the afternoon and a dj in the evening just playing good music in the evening.Would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be backread more

Culinary paradise for trainspotters. Filled with... knickknacks and vintage wrecks, it's a pretty atmospheric spot for dinner. They are still working on the final touches, but I think they have a grand future ahead. The food is good. The pork belly and mash was expertly prepared and the flavours worked well. Unfortunately, our initial excitement was dampened by a series of incongruencies that don't belong in a establishment operating at their price-point.The rump steak, cooked perfectly to order, was let down by the Stella Biltong Jalapeno sauce-thing slopped over it. It certainly looked the part, but the sauce had no discernable depth in flavour and the accompanying potato wedges were basically an overwhelming crust of salt around a nicely fluffy potato center. It wasn't quite to my taste, but I can list a bunch of my salt-addicted mates who would love it.Our starters took over 40 minutes to arrive although I could smell the Pizza Bombs from the kitchen for at least 15 minutes before our waiter finally showed up and we could ask him if it was ready. The fact that the bombs and the steak strips were getting cold by the time it arrived means it was probably a service problem and not a kitchen problem. The main course only took 20 minutes to reach our table.All the staff are incredibly friendly but communication is a bit lacking. By the time most of the restaurant had cleared out and plenty of staff were standing around having a chat, we asked three different waiters for our bill because we couldn't find the gent who served us. When our actual waiter finaly showed up 15 minutes later, he still didn't know we had asked for the bill. I should be giving them 3 stars instead of 4, but I think our issues were isolated, and a bit of training will make this joint great.read more

Good food, but inconsistent in quality. 2 of our dishes... tonight had too much salt. And last time the pork neck was dry. Yet, some of the dishes were amazing. It's a gamble - you are not sure what the quality will be like.read more

Went on a Friday night. The music was toned down dance... music creating a nice Friday vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The food is very tasty, flavorsome, well prepared and there's plenty of options to choose from.read more

AMAZINGThe set up is rustic and clean, it looks like an... old barnyard turned restaurant...soft yet pleasing on the eye type of look. Hallo,I haven't had the privilege to come and visit you... yet. I wanted to attend a training session there on 10 Aug 2019. I phoned to enquire about wheelchair access. The owner was very friendly. Told me that the venue has wheelchair access, but not the bathroom. He offered to make a plan, but still there would not be something to hold on to when getting out of the wheelchair. Maybe an upgrade to consider.And it need not be expensive.read more

An amazing ambiance at night, great service. Amazing food,... a jaw dropping variety of drinks, and everything is very well priced. I planned a birthday party at Social Grill but was so impressed that I will definitely go back simply to have a drink. The aesthetic is that of a mixture of quaint decorations that meets the modern world very well with some industrial design here and there. It is a well designed ensemble for all eras with a bit of old culture thrown in. But the vibe is great for young adults 25-35 years of age but is also inclusive of older generations.The manager there "Michelle" is very kind and accommodating and our waitress "Linda" is the best I've ever seen! When ever I turned my back for another drink or meal she was there. No irritating checking or lack of presence. She was perfect. As a smoker it's also rare to find a place that does t shove you in a poorly ventilated box. I applaud the owners and management for what they've accomplished here.read more

New restaurant opened November 2018.The setting and decor... very nice.Food well prepared and very tasty.Definitely different from all restaurants in the area. The have a very nice Sunday lunch with live background music.Well worth a visit.
