Great atmosphere, excellent service from entering the restaurant, the waiters and even the owner checked in to see if we were ok… we chose a few different plates from seafood to pork bites and the small sliders. Everything was delicious and we even enjoyed live music while eating. Definitely a must for anyone interested in a Chilled atmosphere with friends and family…Thank you all…

This place is so beautiful, the cocktails (Social Blue) are delicious. Staff are very nice.Parking is not paved, but there is plenty.Clean and neat bathrooms.

What an amazing experience celebrating Heritage day at The Social Grill!The vibe and incredible live music was on point!!! We truly felt welcome and at home from the moment we walked in.The Social Grill is able to cater to a vast clientele ranging from families with children all the way through to those who might want to comfortably dine in a cozy indoor setting.They offer high quality food with a great variety of different options that will surely cater to everyones palette.Tebogo, our briaai-master was simply superb!!! He made our already amazing experience an impeccable one. He is friendly, attentive and was able to surpass meeting every person at the tables different needs.Thank you to the whole team!

Wow… this hidden gem has an amazing atmosphere with live music, tree shaded seating outside, a seating area with beach sand (in Pretoria). The menu is fresh and the food is great. Plenty of friendly waiters and management regularly check in. They have their own ice cold Social larger on tap - definitely worth a try! Try them out for your next birthday party, the venue easily handles large tables.

Let me start off with the food.. delicious!! Service was horrendous! We were 4, We ordered drinks, the waiter pitched with 3 drinks ... so we waited and waited.. eventually called another waiter to help. We ordered food.. I ordered a small plate dish with added chips.. got no chips, I had to ask again chips please.. so I waited.My food were cold when I the chips arrived. Then the rain came pouring down ... struce bob you let us sit outside in the rain ... no effort to get us all inside! 😡. We eventually got up, got soaked.. now the bill ...no man really!! Charged us double for my chips! Apparently I had 2 portions of chips ... this was the cherry on top! Thank you for the great food, but that was that. Please invest in a few umbrellas for future unexpected rain insidents!!

I had a valentine's day dinner last week. The food was incredibly disappointing. I had the rump steak. The meat was chewy and bland. The sauce was bland and looked like motor oil. The meat was so chewy, I had to spit it out. The potato wedges were okay, nothing special. The seafood pasta was mediocre at best. The dessert, Oreo madness, basicallyis ice cream with crushed Oreos on top. Super basic stuff, not worth the price point. I would have enjoyed a dinner at Spur a whole lot more.

This was our first visit to The Social Grill, and we had a great experience! The atmosphere was lively with live music, and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was great. We had the Chicken Espetada and a Street Frita Burger, both of which were delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

The burger was delicious, but the pepper sauce leaned more toward a gravy-like texture rather than the creamy pepper sauce I was expecting.The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it a great spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. Overall, I’d highly recommend Social Grill, especially for their starters and the great vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

Such a disappointing experience. The service was slow and the food overpriced, undercooked and unpalatable considering the price. When I attempted to request that my food be properly cooked, the waiter said that I would need to speak to the owners. When I spoke to the owners, they entirely dismissed my requests, were extremely rude, arrogant and entitled and at one point one of the owners personal guests who was standing listening to the conversation attempted to start a physical altercation with me. They then proceeded to accuse me of lying about the quality of my meal and refused to do anything about it.I would highly recommend that you entirely avoid this "restaurant" as there is no customer service and when you try to address it you will be referred to very rude, arrogant and aggressive owners.

We booked as a group (10 people) for lunch, the venue is beautiful, the food is rather nice but it's expected for the price.The service was quite slow, especially when it came to the food, with some items also forgotten from our orders, to a few meals not being prepared as well. This was also during a time when there were hardly any other customers in the place.Would still recommend trying it out, I will definitely go back and give them another chance, I think the later in the day, the better you'll also enjoy the venue.

We went for a family members' birthday dinner celebration. The service was 10 stars & the atmosphere was great. The weather was quite cold - they gave us blankets to sit outside with which was so comfortable & inviting! THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! The steak my partner had ordered was supposed to be medium rare, but he got it still dead on his plate. So we sent it back & still was very rare, but apart from that we will definitely come back to try other options!

Not our first time at The Social Grill but it always is a awesome experience. The food is great with interesting combos and good wine. Love the interior feel, and heaters in the winter. It does tend to get a bit loud but I suppose that is just because everyone is having a good time.

Meal great, service good, venue seems awesome, will have to visit during the day next time to get to see the place properly. Lots of old cars and stuff around. Manager a bit odd, at 21h30 or maybe 22h00 closed the bar to take stock, we were a table of 16 people, your loss bud!!!!

Hidden away, with streams running through it, it feels tranquil and relaxed. Great food with a nice variety from platters to pizza. Lots of parking and a large outdoor area which is good for parties or just getting out and about.

Went yesterday for the first time. A very spacious venue which can cater to many visitors. Food was incredibly good. Drinks are a tad pricey but it ties into the look and feel of the entire venue. Great food, drinks and overall really nice vibe. Great location to host a birthday party or anything like that. Live music in the afternoon and a dj in the evening just playing good music in the evening.Would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back

Culinary paradise for trainspotters. Filled with knickknacks and vintage wrecks, it's a pretty atmospheric spot for dinner. They are still working on the final touches, but I think they have a grand future ahead. The food is good. The pork belly and mash was expertly prepared and the flavours worked well. Unfortunately, our initial excitement was dampened by a series of incongruencies that don't belong in a establishment operating at their price-point.The rump steak, cooked perfectly to order, was let down by the Stella Biltong Jalapeno sauce-thing slopped over it. It certainly looked the part, but the sauce had no discernable depth in flavour and the accompanying potato wedges were basically an overwhelming crust of salt around a nicely fluffy potato center. It wasn't quite to my taste, but I can list a bunch of my salt-addicted mates who would love it.Our starters took over 40 minutes to arrive although I could smell the Pizza Bombs from the kitchen for at least 15 minutes before our waiter finally showed up and we could ask him if it was ready. The fact that the bombs and the steak strips were getting cold by the time it arrived means it was probably a service problem and not a kitchen problem. The main course only took 20 minutes to reach our table.All the staff are incredibly friendly but communication is a bit lacking. By the time most of the restaurant had cleared out and plenty of staff were standing around having a chat, we asked three different waiters for our bill because we couldn't find the gent who served us. When our actual waiter finaly showed up 15 minutes later, he still didn't know we had asked for the bill. I should be giving them 3 stars instead of 4, but I think our issues were isolated, and a bit of training will make this joint great.

Good food, but inconsistent in quality. 2 of our dishes tonight had too much salt. And last time the pork neck was dry. Yet, some of the dishes were amazing. It's a gamble - you are not sure what the quality will be like.

Went on a Friday night. The music was toned down dance music creating a nice Friday vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The food is very tasty, flavorsome, well prepared and there's plenty of options to choose from.

AMAZINGThe set up is rustic and clean, it looks like an old barnyard turned restaurant...soft yet pleasing on the eye type of look. Hallo,I haven't had the privilege to come and visit you yet. I wanted to attend a training session there on 10 Aug 2019. I phoned to enquire about wheelchair access. The owner was very friendly. Told me that the venue has wheelchair access, but not the bathroom. He offered to make a plan, but still there would not be something to hold on to when getting out of the wheelchair. Maybe an upgrade to consider.And it need not be expensive.

For some reason my phone went haywire and accidentally gave you guys a 1 star!🙈 Hell no you deserve 5 stars all the way! Had the pizza bombs and charcoal salmon and it was absolutely fantastic! Beers were ice cold as well as the tequila! One of my new favourite spots close to home! Oh and the vibe was awesome with great music for a sit down with friends.

An amazing ambiance at night, great service. Amazing food, a jaw dropping variety of drinks, and everything is very well priced. I planned a birthday party at Social Grill but was so impressed that I will definitely go back simply to have a drink. The aesthetic is that of a mixture of quaint decorations that meets the modern world very well with some industrial design here and there. It is a well designed ensemble for all eras with a bit of old culture thrown in. But the vibe is great for young adults 25-35 years of age but is also inclusive of older generations.The manager there "Michelle" is very kind and accommodating and our waitress "Linda" is the best I've ever seen! When ever I turned my back for another drink or meal she was there. No irritating checking or lack of presence. She was perfect. As a smoker it's also rare to find a place that does t shove you in a poorly ventilated box. I applaud the owners and management for what they've accomplished here.

New restaurant opened November 2018.The setting and decor very nice.Food well prepared and very tasty.Definitely different from all restaurants in the area. The have a very nice Sunday lunch with live background music.Well worth a visit.
